Introducing the North Down Gamers’ Hub’s first 40k tournament, “War on the Shore”.
For one day only, the usually sleepy seaside town of Bangor, Co. Down (northern Ireland) will be awoken by a 41st Millennium style invasion.
NDGH are Proud to invite friend and foe alike, to take part in a 1000pt, 5 round, ranked tournament.
After inspiration from other great local events, we wanted to take the plunge and host our very own tournament in the heart of North down.
We have created brand new custom designed 4x4 war zones. Terrain will span the furthest reaches of the Imperium, from mud soaked trench lines and shelled out city structures to rolling rivers and steamy jungles. These bespoke tables have been crafted with care to enhance your gaming experience.
It is our hope that this tournament will be the first of many hosted by NDGH. We want to expand the community, creating a hub for local gamers to mix and slug it out on the battlefield. So whether it is your first or one hundred and first tournament you are more than welcome to join in.

- In the interest of confirming numbers, we would appreciate pre-booking. Payment may be made on the day of the event, but will incur a £2.50 surcharge (total £12.50). This charge will not be applied to spectator tickets.

1k games hold literally no appeal to me. Shame.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that, The King Elessar. Your missing out on a massively entertaining tournament. With the highlander restrictions, list building has to be so much more carefully thought out, and at small points levels the game becomes so much more intense, with every dice roll and every decision becoming critical to success or failure.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to this tournament. Its been a dream of ours for a while to host one, and we hope we can make it as enjoyable as the many other tournaments that we have attended over the last year especially.
Well in big tournaments you can at times be forgiven for making mistakes, but at these point levels one mistake can cost you the game, so in some ways it's a harder tournament and there's no better place to put your money where your mouth is.
ReplyDeleteBut I can see the appeal of bigger point games, but don't underestimate the potential fun as AJ has said after all it is only a game. Win lose or draw
